Dumbreck Marsh Sound Map

Produced in collaboration with Peter Dibdin this sound map formed part of a website created for the Dumbreck Marsh Nature Reserve. During a six-month residency, sound recording, flash animation and digital imaging workshops were conducted with a group of pupils from the Kilsyth Academy. The website included basic wildlife and conservation information about the marsh as well as animations, drawings and sound pieces produced by the group over the course of the residency. As the location of the new nature reserve was formerly a coal mine the site also included an oral history section comprised of interviews with local retired coal miners.
